My university applications are coming along swimmingly. Assuming the swimming is done in a slimy, thick bog where a step forward takes a whole day. But as always, its my own fault. Anyway, I'm back to bore you with a recap of my past few days, which I'm sure is positively riveting. :)

Wednesday, trotted around looking for gifts with Sam, and only ended up buying everything for myself. As always, we bought SHOES. Sam and I have a weird weakness for them, and collect them by the dozens. She bought one pair of black flats for work, and I bought two pairs of flats - black patent leather mary janes and bronze sequined ballet flats. My closet, where I keep only some of my shoes in boxes, is slowly filling up. My accumulation of shoes and dresses is increasing alarmingly. We had a nice al fresco type dinner while wincing at the bad drumming of a little boy and mediocre carolling, waving our hands around like idiots waiting for the waiters to serve us. Trotted around some more and got home late, finally, after waiting more than a half hour for a cab.

Thursday, trotted around looking for gifts with Anushka. I quickly bought tickets for Phantom Of the Opera in the evening, and we set off to help me find gifts. I ended up buying my mother a set of Russia tea glasses that were obviously overpriced from The Loft at Centrepoint, but I paid for them anyway because they were pretty ,and I'm a sucker for anything beautiful. My shoes (the new, patent leather mary janes) hurt like a bitch and I hobbled along wearing fresh new plasters on my heel to prevent further blistering. I found lovely comfortable black pants I had altered at Zara, a teal coloured top (my new favourite colour? it seems to be one of the few colours that doesn't look bad on my colourless pale skin) from Forever 21, and some other odds and ends. The movie was a little ponderous, but alright all in all. I suppose its difficult to compare when you've watched the musical version on Broadway!

Today, Christmas eve! Followed my mother around Holland Village muttering curses under my breath about useless time-wasting and crowds. Bought my dad's gift, a little gift for Christine and lots of orange Tic-Tacs (ohmylove), didn't find the Altec Lansing Ipod speakers that are supposed to be my Christmas present, so I'll be uniformly Christmas present-less. I stayed up till 5am finishing Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (which I actually liked, and didn't find too long. I didn't mind the extra details.), and I expect I'll do the same with the Order of Phoenix tonight. I like Christmas, for the most part, but I'd probably rather drink Milo in my bed and read, to be honest. Some people asked me to go to the Christmas party at Zouk but truthfully, I'm horrendously lazy. I feel like drawing a nice bath and soaking in it until I'm wrinkly and purple.

Off-topic : My wonderful Record Bag has been getting lots of love. Its drawn lots of compliments in the span of 24 hours. I love how my weird crap brings happiness to the world, or so I'd like to believe, anyway.

Also, Juliet returns in 28 hours! Yay yay! Its a Christmas miracle, alright!
