I carried a sleeping cousin from my bed to his, kissed the other good night, studied the Nuclear Arms Race for a bit and then started watching Amores Perros for the second time from where I left off a while ago. Emilio Echavarria's ruthlessly skilled performance at the end is possibly one of the most memorable movie moments I will ever take with me, all I can do is watch helplessly and cry.

I am aware that this is supposed to be my happy journal. I'd rather treat it as the journal in which I write with candour, I think.

To go to sleep now, and leave you with the movie's dedication in the closing credits :

For Luciano, because we are also what we have lost.
