So I've decided to completely change my plans and go see the boy immediately, instead of dawdling in the bright lights of the city. Which cuts my waiting to see him time down from 10 days to 5, which is amazing. I figure, if I'm going to waste a weekend being sleepy and jetlagged and sick, I might as well do it in the presence of someone I've been missing for far too long. Also, if I get bored in Small Town, USA, he has offered to drop me at the train station so I can still get my fix of the big city. I might actually not go, and instead stay at home and figure out how to cook things without burning his house down. At the same time, I will probably have to spend a lot of time praying that his crazy paranoid schizophrenic neighbour doesn't come back and attack me, mistaking me for one of those voices she heard in the radiator. Maybe I can pull down my fringe and pretend to be a pontianak and scare her away. Good times!
