Everytime I step into my bedroom, I am flabbergasted by the sheer amount of STUFF I own. Of course, this is an inevitable product of my deep, abiding love for ... all kinds of stuff. I mean, literally. I have been known to walk into malls, spot something I like, have my eyes light up like a magpie's, and go ... "AHHH!!! STUFF!!! I LOVE STUFF!!!", much to the embarrassment of my companions.
Anyway, I have been culling. The thought of moving to my as-yet-undecided home after graduation and having my parents faint at the sight of the sheer amount of crap I own
has compelled me to do so. So I've been removing things from my wardrobe, donating them to Goodwill and most recently, realizing that I could actually make money off the detritus of my collection, eBaying things. I have made 122 dollars so far, after selling 3 items. Amazing. I am in the process of listing more items.
Unfortunately, with the dawning of spring, my poor toes, which have been ensconced in boots and thick socks for months, are now aching for new, beautiful footwear. And it doesn't help that I distract myself from the woe of being jobless by looking at affordable shoe websites all day. After years of ignoring shoes because I simply can't function in not-flats for very long, I've resolved to commit to gorgeous, more complicated, sometimes a little off-kilter heels (and some flats). Also, yes, I am fully aware that some of these are wholesale copies of Balmain and YSL shoes. But what's a jobless girl to do? The temptations? Take a look:
