Apparently Fridays are always half-days at Place of Work #2, so after a pleasant 3 hours of reading manuscripts and transcribing some useless interview in which nothing important is ever said, I trotted out to go shopping for ... 3 hours. Along the way, I picked up a cashmere sweater, (i was beguiled by its softness, i really don't need it) Miranda July's "Learning to Love You More" and a Jill Bliss mini journal set from the MoMa store, in the vain hopes that I might be able to revive my old habit of poetry writing. Oh, and cards from the Pylones store, which never fails to fascinate me with all its shiny prettiness.

Also, went to the Prada store in Soho, where I promptly pawed the Prada fairy bag, which Winnie and I fell in love with in London ... and saw a mini celebrity, Trent from Pink is the New Blog. I am obviously really adept at identifying everyone from the A down to the Z list if I can even spot bloggers these days.
OH! ALSO, did I mention that BARACK OBAMA is speaking at our commencement? FUCK YEAH. Ted Kennedy was the original speaker, but that went up in the air with his recent stroke (poor man) ... we were all worried that there wouldn't be a speaker, but Uncle Teddy made a phone call to his friend ... and yeah, so I'm going to see Obama at school this week. Is it going to be a lovely Memorial Day weekend or WHAT?
