Friends! Romans! Countrymen!

Excuse the incredibly tired opening address. :) I am quite tired and lack sufficient imagination. Let me make you a list of things of note that have occured to me over the weekend -

1) I received my Prelim results, which were, to say the least, unexpected but a VERY welcome surprise. I got the top in history, and we'll have to see how my standing is in the entire arts faculty. It was pleasant, though, nice people congratulated me to which I enthusiastically went "Thank you!" after developing an appropriate response to it. The very first time I was congratulated was disastrous, because true to my horrendous reflexes I rolled my eyes and said "Ahh! Whatever!". I'm so rude, I wish I could apologize immediately sometimes. Looking at my history scripts made me pleased and warm inside, though not overly so. Odd, isn't it. I can only hope this helps me get into Amherst or whichever other college if Amherst doesn't accept me. Anyway, I'm worried that I can't repeat my performance in the A levels. Worry pervades me despite everything.

2) Went out with Clara! She finished her prelims and we went shopping, and I purchased a dress and a skirt in the midst of moaning about Singapore's utter lack of good shopping experiences. Which is true, although I should probably learn to moan less about it.

3) Had a barbeque at home! Which was for my father's colleague's and friends. I had rather rare steak, which terrified me a little, and sausages which seem to fill my insides with smoke.

4) Watched the whole second half of Gilmore Girls! Got horrified by the Dean-Rory coital STUPIDITY! Watched forlornly as Jess Mariano left, big poufy hair, contrived leather jacket and all.

5) Talked to Juliet on the cell! Although, only for half an hour or so because I had piano lessons. Darn it. Juliet, remember to give me your phone number! I cannot stress this enough. I wish to call you during my breaks and such, because I still have nothing to do during math periods.

6) Ordered bags from loopnyc, also the creator of my beloved Pink Flamingo bag, as well as 11 DVDs. Dvds I ordered : Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Crime of Padre Amaro, I Capture the Castle, Before Sunrise, Morvern Callar, A Clockwork Orange, Requiem for a Dream, Trainspotting, Dr Strangelove and How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb, The Slaughter Rule, The United States of Leland. Sound really unfamiliar to you? Yes, they probably are, save for maybe Trainspotting. I ordered them since they are virtually non-existent in my little island. I ordered two cds, too, Deathcab's Transatlanticism and Postal Service's Give Up, basically the indie big-wigs because even indie-big-wigs cannot make their cds find their way to my cd shops. It is infuriating. I want to order earrings from NaughtySecretaryClub as well!

So I hope I didn't bore you. I will try to spend my time coming up with interesting commentary the state of mankind and the world around us. If I have sufficient brainpower, that is. Adieu!
