Why France With 4 Table-gangers Is Awesome:

1) Walking up hills, little ones, big ones, VERY STEEP ones ... ALL THE TIME!
2) Playing bridge on 3 hour TGV rides with stinky toilets
3) Visiting patisserie after patisserie after patisserie
4) Extending our French vocabulary to exciting such exciting things like "chocolat chaud" and "pain au chocolat" and "moules frites"
5) Laduree macaroons that hold my heart captive, and that I lovingly hand carry all the way back to the macaroon deprived land of America
6) CHANEL OH MY GOSH CHANEL
7) Impromptu photoshoots ALL THE TIME with Winnie and Eelin's exciting digital SLRs and Eelin's macro portrait lens
8) Sampling perfume to the point of nose numbness
9) Screaming at the windiness of Marseille and the hailiness of Paris
10) Cooing over cute French dogs, but not their not so cute French dog poo
11) Searching for Grand Prix start lines in Monaco
12) Mocking fountains in Aix-en-Provence
13) Cute postcards and postcard writing
14) Choosing tour guides based on their cuteness, being sad that they have girlfriends
15) Seeing sites of filmic importance, such as Shakespeare and Co, the loveliest bookstore ever where Jesse gives his book reading in Before Sunset, Monsieur Colignon's vegetable market which Amelie patronized, the cafe Amelie waitresses at, the cathedral outside of which Nino Quincampoix is beckoned to look through these binocular things only to see Amelie putting his pictures back in his motorcycle ...
