Funny, Happy Things (A List For October):

1) The fact that I FINALLY saw Tori Amos, the great holy poet-pixie matron of my adolescence in concert, and got to stay over at Lindsey's after and marvel at her mom's impressive sewing skills and neuroses
2) I actually have MORE than 20 dresses in my expansive closet. And this is only at school. My evening dresses are ... at home, yearning for attention.
3) I got my first paycheck of the semester, although it would be a greater thing to rejoice over if I didn't spend about the same amount on clothing at H&M last weekend.
4) I seriously enjoy sitting in my pre-1800 British Literature class listening to my happy adorable professor quote Latin things and Milton and Pete Seeger off the top of his head.
5) I am going to Fashion University this weekend, which is great if only because I laugh very loudly everytime I mention it to other people. I do get to attend a talk given by TIM GUNN though!
6) Farmer's market in school today, from which I purchased pesto, peach pie, two types of cheese and a scone.
7) The fact that I am not working on my Spanish OR English literature paper.
8) Constantly eating cake frosting
9) The new Rilo Kiley album, which makes me sway a lot and think of Marianne Faithfull for no apparent reason.
10) My random desire to shadow an editor at Playboy this winter break ... just because I can. Or I at least because I have the opportunity to apply to do so.
